[When she does, she will find it is, of course, another classic case of Dirk Strider getting Carried Away. The box contains, first off, several adorable plushes. They're super cute! They're squiddles, all forty eight of them, hand-sewn by master plush-maker Dirk Strider. And you'd think that would be enough, but that would mean not understanding that Dirk started with one squiddle and ended up with forty eight and that such a progression is naturally just the beginning. Because underneath the squiddles are even more plushes, all of classic anthropomorphic cartoon greats, several of which have magnetic hands so they can hold tools for her! A catperson is holding a metal box with a bunch of wrenches as a demonstration. And underneath those, she'll find a set of plush wolves that were just going to be normal wolves, but one is holding a telescope in its jaw, and it's made so you look through the back of the head out the other side to the telescope because Dirk is horrifying; another has a pop-open chest that contains paper for charting astronomical things.

Finally, there is a plush of Ser Thumperton himself. He is adorable, and fuzzy, and dressed up as a knight.

He is wearing a non-expression that actually has an undercurrent of nervousness. He may not know Jade as well as he would like, but he really likes and respects her so he hopes?? this meets her interests??? He Tried, dammit.]

[He was so nervous, so eager not to mess this up, and then Jade does that and something cracks and he mutters] Oh my God. [and puts his face in his hands. He's flustered. He's gone.]

[Dirk mutters, because memes]

[He forces himself to straighten up and not have an expression and be cool.]
