[ there's a lot of way to approach this, and all of them drag back to "internalize it, adapt to it, and handle it". so jade's response is probably not that help. ]

Noooo, seriously, I can handle this! But we are kind of stuck here, right?? This might be my chance to figure out where Qri is at least! And the sooner the better it looks like.

[Likewise, Jake hates it, too. He's always felt like the least cool and strong of his friends. He always felt like he couldn't do as much as everyone around him. And even if he was just a child when his grandma died, the thought always lingered that he should have done something. But he can't wallow. If he does, then he won't be able to even try to help.

Besides, Jade says she believes in him. That means the world to him.]

[ it takes a little bit of time, but eventually jade cobbles together the mental image of a map to their little hidey-hole. it's rough but jade makes sure there's a few smiley faces on it; they bleed through, retroactively. ]

Make sure and remember it!!! Probably the best assist is a defense right now, but we will have to work with them to see for sure.

Also... when I get back, we should work on that puzzle. I'd like to!
